Old is new again: Nostalgic2days #1
March 3, 2009
Nostalgic Hero magazine blew it up large this year with our man Damian on the scene. There are going to be many companies/sites/blogs covering the event so I won’t bother you with much more than some choice words from Damo and a big set of photos to get the blood rushing…

“Located at the Pacifico Yokohama, a large exhibition centre on the Bay of Yokohama (which alot of J-buffs will know for its big Ferris wheel and theme park). I’m glad I got there at the opening time of 10am as the hall was full of clasic J-tin from wall to wall, as well as trade and swap meet stands.”
“Highlights for me personally was seeing the ‘Rocky Auto’ vehicles and spectacular cars at the ‘Work Wheels’ stand as well as speaking to the guys at Watanabe and Hayashi wheels. Was plenty of drool worthy, hard to get parts at the swap meet stands, but unortunately all I came away with was a couple of old school plastic car models. Enjoy the pics”
Sunnys first no doubt:

Spirit Garage had their mighty KB110 there.
Check out their website http://www.spiritgarage.com/ They do quite a bit of S30 stuff but we all know that no one can resist owning a B110, S30′s or not.

KB310′s are so right. Heres the Bils Sunny being awesome. Bils do some really sexy suspension and brake setups, I’m loving the look of their 4 pot calipers.

Another Bils sponsored sunny, this time a KB210 sporting some MK2 look alikes and some aggresive aero.

As seen at AutoSalon, there is nothing more suiting to this car than its colour. Sponsored by Trident Gum, it’ll tickle your taste buds thats for sure. Another fearless victory for box flares and Watanabes.

Cannot get enough of Advan sunnys these days. They have stormed by castle and climbed my watchtower.

BRE inspired 1600 Coupe, how straight is that body. Work 03s wrapping it up.
Work Wheels made their presence felt with a line up of cars that summarise the era very well.

C110, Work 03′s and Yokohama bands, hot…

..and next to it, four doors never looked better. Prime Work 01s.

When I think work wheels as a brand, I think of this car.

Star Road banners all round. Love their work.
Aswell as Work wheels, Hayshi Racing and Watanabe Wheels made an appearance.
I don’t think a lot of people realise that Hayashi Racing is still making limited runs of the Yayoi Sakura and Techno Star wheels, in some wicked sizing no doubt.

Oh damn

Timeless style. Techno and Yayoi

…and theirdisplay car, none better. Told you they make good sizes^^

Good portion of cars rolling Watanabes, even at the show. Check it

Rocky Auto, you win

Trumpets

I will NEVER get sick of this. G nose, white with grey flares and bumpers and a S20 pushing you along.
City Auto Zed, doing it radicle.

Last but in no way the least, the mighty C10. Praised by many as the greatest car of the greatest era.

How classey would this be as a daily?
End part 1. I shall post the rest of the pictures tonight or tomorow. Mostly of what else there was to see at the show ;)
Sweet shots man. I assume you’ve scope those on NORI-YARO too. I wish we had even a semblance of the scale and commitment of Japanese classics here as they do in their homeland.
Also, not sure if I like the Yonmeri with C230 lamps, still… I wouldn’t say no.
work 03s are the bees knees
